OUR STORY

Mar + Coco began with brows. Melba started the studio as a brow and lash artist, and developed her method, The Nature-Given Brow, on the belief: restore, reshape, retain, respecting what’s already there.

The same care shaped everything that followed: facial and body sculpting drawn from her Caribbean and Latin American roots. Our studio name Mar (sea) + Coco (coconut) symbolize where Melba is from: palm lined turquoise beaches. Home.

Founder & Creator of The Nature-Given Brow

Melba has been passionate about esthetics since her early teenage years - over 40 years of fascination with eyebrows, and the profound way they shape and define the facial features. Her mother warned her not to over-tweeze her bushy, unruly brows, because they don’t always come back… but she still fell for trends, as so many do. Eventually she learned to care for them over any other feature, and over time came to see how much the brow’s shape affects the overall harmony of the whole face.

Her approach has always been the same: consistent, intentional self-care, the old-fashioned way. Nourishing brow and lash treatments, and hands-on sculpting therapies that deeply respect what the brows, face and body have to offer. Less is more... it always has been.

Itzel's path into esthetics began with her own skin, and a frustration that became a passion. With 8+ years of on going esthetics education and experience, she brings that curiosity and expertise to every guest, specializing in balanced radiant skin, acne facials, sculpting facials, and contouring body therapy. Her approach is intentional and intuitive - every session adapted to what your skin needs that day.
